Tournament Rules

Action Clock:
The Action Clock will be put into play on each Day 1 at the conclusion of level 15 or at the tournament directors’ discretion. Each player will receive four (4) time extensions when the Action Clock is put into play. Each player will receive four (4) additional time extension chips on the first scheduled break of Day 2. Each player will receive four (4) additional time extension chips at the start of Day 3. Each player will receive four (4) additional time extension chips when twenty-four (24) players remain. Each player will receive four (4) additional time extension chips when six (6) players remain.
Ante Format (Big Blind Ante):
Single ante will be posted by the player in the big blind, in the amount equivalent to the big blind. Ante is posted before the big blind and players are eligible to collect the entire ante, even when out of the big blind. The full ante is maintained until the completion of the tournament.
Breaks:
40 Minute levels: Players will have a 15 minute break every 3 levels. 60 Minute levels: Players will have a 15 minute break after every 2 levels. Day 1 flights will be provided a 75 minute dinner break (approximately 5:30 6:45 PM). Day 2 and 3 will be provided a 75 minute dinner break after six (6) levels (approximately 6:30 7:45PM).
Buy-In & Fees:
$1,100 buy-in = $970 (Prize Pool) + $90 (Entry Fee) + $40 (Staff Fee).
Late Registration:
Registration will close at the start of Level 10 on each Day 1 (approximately 6:45 PM).
Levels, Per Day:
Day 1: 40 minutes per level until the field reaches the money (12.5%). Day 2: Ten (10) levels of 60 minutes each. Day 3: 60 minute levels until the final six (6) players remain. TV Final Table: 60 minutes per levels until two (2) players remain, 30 minute levels thereafter.
Payouts:
One in eight (1-in-8) entries will be in the money (approximately 12.5%).
Players Per Table:
Day 1A, 1B, 1C & 1D will play 9 handed. Day 2 onward will play 8 handed, space permitting. In the event that Day 2 begins 9 handed, tables will be balanced to accommodate 8 handed play at the Tournament Director s discretion. The Final Table is 9 handed.
Registration & Re-Entry Rules:
A single (1) re entry is permitted for each starting flight.
Rules:
Televised Final Table: In the event that a finalist has advanced to Day 5 of the $10,400 World Championship, the WPT Prime Championship TV Final Table will be delayed to begin at 7:30 PM
Seating Redraws:
A redraw will occur at the conclusion of each day until 24 players remain. The final redraws will take place at 24, 16, and 9 players during the normal course of play.
WPT Player of the Year:

This event is eligible for the WPT Player of the Year.

The WPT Prime Championship debuted in December of 2022 at Wynn Las Vegas. The inaugural event was a massive success drawing the largest field of any WPT Prime event with 5,430 entrants. The $2 Million guarantee was more than doubled with a final total prize pool of $5,267,100. In the end, it was Stephen Song who claimed the WPT Prime Championship Title, joining the WPT Prime Champions Club for the first time and earning $712,650 for his first place finish.

The WPT Prime Championship returns to Wynn Las Vegas this December as a part of the WPT World Championship Festival. The WPT Prime Championship will serve as the final event of yet another incredible season of WPT Prime Events. In 2023, WPT Prime traveled through 11 different countries, stopping in 12 unique cities along the way. The continual growth of the WPT Prime Tour indicates that this year's WPT Prime Championship will be even larger than last year. The second installment of the WPT Prime Championship will begin with the first of four starting flights on December 7th and will conclude with a TV final table on December 19th. The tournament carries an entry fee of $1,100 and boasts a $5 million dollar guarantee, the largest guarantee of any Prime Event to date.
