Tournament Rules

Action Clock:
The Action Clock will be put into play on Day 2 at the conclusion of level 14 or at the tournament directors’ discretion. Each player will receive five (5) time extensions when the Action Clock is put into play. Each player will receive five (5) additional time extension chips on the first scheduled break of Day 3. Each player will receive five (5) additional time extension chips at the start of Day 4. Each player will receive five (5) additional time extension chips at the start of Day 5. Each player will receive five (5) additional time extension chips at the start of Day 6. Each player will receive five (5) additional time extension chips when six (6) players remain.
Ante Format (Big Blind Ante):
Single ante will be posted by the player in the big blind, in the amount equivalent to the big blind. Ante is posted before the big blind and players are eligible to collect the entire ante, even when out of the big blind. The full ante is maintained until the completion of the tournament.
Breaks:
60 Minute levels: Players will have a 15-minute break every two (2) levels. 90 Minute levels: Players will have a 15-minute break after every level. Day 1 flights will be provided a 75-minute dinner break (approximately 5:30-6:45 PM). Day 2 and 5 will not feature a dinner break. Day 3 and 4 will be provided a 75-minute dinner break after four (4) levels of play (approximately 6:45-8:00 PM).
Buy-In & Fees:
$10,400 buy-in = $9,800 (Prize Pool) + $400 (Entry Fee) + $200 (Staff Fee).
Late Registration:
Registration will close at the start of Level 7 on each Day 1 (approximately 6:45 PM).
Levels, Per Day:
Day 1: Ten (10) levels of 60 minutes each. Day 2: Five (5) levels of 90 minutes each. Day 3: Six (6) levels of 90 minutes each. Day 4: Six (6) levels of 90 minutes each. Day 5: Five (5) levels of 90 minutes each. Day 6: 90 minute levels until the final six (6) players remain. TV Final Table: 90 minutes per level until two (2) players remain, 45 minute levels thereafter.
Payouts:
One in eight (1-in-8) entries will be in the money (approximately 12.5%).
Players Per Table:
Day 1 starting flights will play 9 handed. Day 2 onward will play 8 handed, space permitting. In the event that Day 2 begins 9 handed, tables will be balanced to accommodate 8 handed play at the Tournament Director s discretion. The Final Table will begin 9 handed.
Players Card & Players Releases:
All Tournament players must be a Wynn Rewards member and execute the WPT Player Release Form to participate.
Registration & Re-Entry Rules:
One entry per day maximum (freezeout per flight).
Seating Redraws:
A redraw will occur at the conclusion of each day until 24 players remain. The final redraws will take place at 24, 16, and 9 players during the normal course of play.

WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas

The first-ever WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas made its debut in December 2022, as the grand finale to what was a historic and record-breaking 20th season of the World Poker Tour. The championship event featured a $10,400 buy-in and carried a $15 million dollar guaranteed prize pool - the largest guaranteed prize pool in live tournament poker history.

The 2022 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas drew a massive field of 2960 entrants, and boasted a total prize pool of $29,008,000 - nearly doubling the ambitious guarantee. Eliot Hudon outlasted everyone else in the field to secure the title and $4.1 million dollars. His first place finish also ensured his name would be engraved on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup in perpetuity, alongside all the previous champions from all 20 seasons of the World Poker Tour.
