WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas
The first-ever WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas made its debut in December 2022, as the grand finale to what was a historic and record-breaking 20th season of the World Poker Tour. The championship event featured a $10,400 buy-in and carried a $15 million dollar guaranteed prize pool - the largest guaranteed prize pool in live tournament poker history.
The 2022 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas drew a massive field of 2960 entrants, and boasted a total prize pool of $29,008,000 - nearly doubling the ambitious guarantee. Eliot Hudon outlasted everyone else in the field to secure the title and $4.1 million dollars. His first place finish also ensured his name would be engraved on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup in perpetuity, alongside all the previous champions from all 20 seasons of the World Poker Tour.
The WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas won a Global Poker Award in March 2023 for Best Poker Event of the Year. Riding high on expectation and anticipation, the World Poker Tour is excited to deliver another incredible World Championship event. WPT returns to Wynn Las Vegas on November 29 for the start of the second WPT World Championship Festival. This year’s festival will feature a full slate of exciting events leading up to the second edition of the $10,400 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas.
