WPT in Amsterdam
WPT first stopped in Amsterdam in 2015, for a main tour event during Season XIV. The WPT Amsterdam main event generated a prize pool of over $1 million dollars and drew a field of 341 entrants. Farid Yachou managed to navigate the field and emerged victorious to be crowned a WPT champion - winning $239,559 and a permanent spot forever etched on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.
Since WPT’s first appearance in Amsterdam in 2015, WPT has returned to the Netherlands’ capital seven times. WPT hosted four WPTDeepstacks events and three main tour stops over the past seven years. Netherlands is home to several poker greats, including Florens Feenstra, who won WPT Amsterdam in his home country in 2018. Feenstra beat Ema Zajmovic heads up to claim his victory.
WPT is excited to return to the beautiful city of Amsterdam for the fourth stop of WPT Prime Season 2 in 2023. Anticipation is high for what will certainly be an electric event. The WPT Prime Amsterdam Main Event will have an entry fee of €1,100, with Day 1A, the first of three flights, on March 28.
