Tournament Rules

Action Clock:
Action clocks will be put in place at the start of Day 2 and will be used until the completion of the tournament.
Ante Format (Big Blind Ante):
Single ante will be posted by the player in the big blind, in the amount equivalent to the big blind. Ante is posted before the big blind and players are eligible to collect the entire ante, even when out of the big blind. Ante is maintained until the completion of the tournament.
Breaks:
Day 1’s A/B/C/D: Players will have 15 minute break for every 3 levels. Day 1E: Players will have 15 minute break for every 6 levels
Buy-In & Fees:
BUY-IN: 1100€ = 960€+100€+40€ Service fee
Late Registration:
Registration closes at the start of Level 7, approximately 4.5 hours on Day 1A, B, C and D & approximately 2.25 hours on Day 1E
Levels, Per Day:
Day 1A / 1B/ 1C/ 1D : Play till field is in the Money; 40 minutes per level. Day 1E : Play till field is in the Money; 20 minutes per level. Day 2: Play till the Final Table of Nine has been reached; 60minutes per level.
Payouts:
One in eight (1-in-8) entries will be in the money (approximately 12.5%).
Players Per Table:
Play will start with 9-handed tables where space available and will move to 8 handed as soon as possible when in the money.
Players Card & Players Releases:
In order to play in the event, each player must sign the WPT Player Release Form.
Registration & Re-Entry Rules:
Entry and one re-entry is allowed the first Day 1 entered until end of registration (start of Level 7). Single entry (no re-entry) is allowed for each subsequent Day 1 played.
Seating Redraws:
Day 2, at 24 and 9.
WPT Player of the Year:

The Main Event is eligible for the WPT Player of the Year.

History

WPT in Paris

WPT kicks off season 21 in Paris, France where Club Circus will host WPT Prime Paris. The main event has an entry fee of €1,100 and will offer players five starting flights. Entry and one re-entry is allowed the first Day 1 entered and single entry (no re-entry) is allowed for each subsequent Day 1 played. WPT Prime Paris will begin on January 22nd with a multitude of tournaments leading up to the main event which begins with Day 1A on January 31st.

This event marks the first-ever WPT Prime Festival in Paris, however, this will not be the first time that the World Poker Tour has visited the City of Light. WPT traveled to Paris, France for the first time in 2003 for World Poker Tour Season 1. WPT has since stopped in Paris several times over the past two decades, most recently visiting Paris for WPTDeepStacks Paris in 2020.

WPT Prime Paris begins the second season of WPT Prime events only one month after the conclusion of a historic record-setting WPT season. The stage is set in the ever-exciting city of Paris, France, home of WPT Champions Bertrand Grospellier, David Benyamine, Thomas Bichon, and Christopher Savary, as well as, poker vlogger and content creator YoH ViraL. WPT Prime Paris is poised to serve as a thrilling debut to WPT Season 21.
