Tournament Rules

Action Clock:
Action clocks will be implemented at the start of Day 2 or at the Tournament Directors sole discretion and will be used until the completion of the tournament. See Action Clock rules for details.
Breaks:
15-minute break every 2 levels of play. 60-minute break after level 6 and level 16 (approximately 6:30 p.m.)
Buy-In & Fees:
$10,500 Buy-in = $9,700 (Tournament Prize Pool) + $400 (Tournament Fee) + $200 (Charity) + $200 (Poker Staff Service Charge)
Late Registration:
One (1) Entry and One (1) re-entry for each starting flight will be available until the start of level 9 (approximately 9:45 p.m.). A player who advances to Day 2 is prohibited from entering a subsequent starting flight. A player that has advanced to Day 2 who enters a starting flight in error will be disqualified from the subsequent flight and will not be entitled to a refund of their Tournament re-entry fee. The player will be permitted to play Day 2 with their Tournament chip stack from the original starting flight.
Levels, Per Day:
Day 1: Ten (10) levels of 60 minutes each. Day 2: Ten (10) levels of 60 minutes each. Day 3: 60 minutes per levels until the final 6 players are reached. Day 4: 60 minutes per level until two (2) players remain, 30 minutes per level thereafter.
Payouts:
One in eight (1-in-8) entries will be in the money (approximately 12.5%). This Tournament must play until a winner is declared. Any adjustment to the posted prize pool requires approval of the tournament staff. Based on the prize pool remaining, tournament staff may dictate a minimum amount withheld which will be designated to the first place winner, in such a manner that, regardless of the agreed upon adjustments made to the prize pool, the first place winner will be awarded the largest cash prize.
Players Per Table:
Day 1 starting flights will play 9-handed. Day 2 play will begin 9-handed. Prior to reaching the money, at the Tournament Director’s discretion, tables will be balanced to accommodate 8-handed play. The Final Table will begin 9-handed.

Action Clock Rules

Action Clock Rules:

Dealers will initiate the start of the clock upon the completion of the deal. Time will begin for a player once the natural flow of play has come to a brief pause pending their action. Time will be reset for each player. When a bet or raise has been made, the dealer will count and announce the bet or raise (including All In bets) prior to starting the Tournament Action Clock for the next player. To facilitate the smooth operation of the tournament, all tournament chips must remain in full
stacks of twenty (20) chips when available.

Additional Rules:

When breaking a table, players will transport their time extensions, along with their tournament chips and in plain view, with them to their new seat. Should a tournament day conclude during the Action Clock period of play, yet before a period in which time extensions are scheduled to be replenished, any unused time extensions will be placed in the players’ tournament chip bag and carry over to the next tournament day. Time extensions are to be treated with the same level of importance as tournament chips, and removal of time extensions may be subject to penalty up to and including disqualification. The Tournament Action Clock will NOT be suspended unless an extreme situation arises in which play will be halted.

Time Extensions:

Each player will receive ten (10) 30-second time extensions “chips”. When the remaining players of the event are “in the money”, each player will have twenty (20) seconds to initially act on their hand preflop. All subsequent action of that player will remain at thirty (30) seconds per action. When the event reaches six (6) players remaining, each action (including preflop) for all players remaining will be thirty (30) seconds.

Additional Time Chips:

When the event reaches twenty-four (24) players remaining, each player will replenish up to six (6) time extension “chips”. Players above six (6) time extensions will retain their “extra” unused time and the extra “chips” will not be reduced. When the event reaches 6 players remaining, each player will replenish up to six (6) time extension “chips”. Players above six (6) time extensions will retain their “extra” unused time and the extra “chips” will not be reduced. Should an event reach 24 players prior to the close of registration, the six (6) time extensions will be replenished at the beginning of the level that follows the close of registration. Time extensions will only be replenished when the tournament reaches 24 and 6 players remaining.

Time Provided:

Each player will have fifteen (15) seconds to initially act on their hand preflop. Once a player has voluntarily placed chips into the pot, the Tournament Action Clock will increase to thirty (30) seconds for each subsequent action of that player until the hand has concluded. The small and big blind are forced bets and are not considered voluntary.

Warnings:

During tournament play, players are required to keep all time extension chips visible and on the table at all times. Players will automatically lose one (1) time extension each time the Tournament Action Clock reaches zero (0) and will be instructed by the dealer to turn in the corresponding amount of time extensions used at the completion of their action. Players are not responsible for placing a time extension into the pot in real time. In the event that a player does not have any remaining time extensions and their Tournament Action Clock reaches zero (0), the player’s hand will be declared dead.
