A Tale of Two Salters

Apr 18, 2018

On a Heart 5Club 8Club 4Club JHeart K board, Louis Salter check-called a bet of 10,000 from Justin Bonomo and Bonomo turned over Heart ADiamond 10. Salter showed Spade 6Spade 8 and took down the pot, boosting his stack up over the 300,000 mark.

His table was next to break, and Salter picked up multiple racks of chips and moved to a seat to the direct right of Jasper Meijer Van Putten. Van Putten grinned as, unbeknownst to Salter, his older brother Jack Salter had until a short while ago been sitting there.

Van Putten explained to Louis, and Louis asked the table who got him.

“That was me,” said Kevin MacPhee, “I had Queens; he had ace-king.”

Looks like Salter will be out to avenge his brother, and has the big stack to do exactly that.

Louis Salter – 300,000
Justin Bonomo – 100,000
Kevin MacPhee – 150,000
Jack Salter – Eliminated
