Allen Kessler Wins One with Queens Against Kings

In a hand told to us by Allen Kesser (pictured): Seat 8 makes it 2,200 to go under the gun, and Kessler reraises to 8,000 on the cutoff. UTG reraises to 20,000, and Kessler reraises all in. UTG calls with pocket kings, and Kessler needs help with pocket queens. Another player says they folded a queen, but it makes no difference when a queen appears in the window on the flop. Kessler wins the hand and he is up to 50,000 after collecting the pot. “This is revenge for Hollywood,” says Kessler in reference to a bad beat he took at the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown earlier this month in Florida. He continues, “I never win those.”
