Amelio Amato Eliminated by Thad McNulty

Mar 23, 2014

Day 1 chipleader Manuel Rafanan limps under the gun for 1,600, and Amelio Amato moves all in from the small blind for 15,400. Thad McNulty calls from the big blind, and Rafanan thinks for a bit before he folds.

Amato turns over [Qh9h], and he needs to improve to stay alive against McNulty’s [6c6s].

The board comes [Kd8d3hKsAh], and the pocket sixes hold up for McNulty to win the pot and eliminate Amato from the tournament.

Thad McNulty  –  190,000  (118 bb)
Amelio Amato  –  Eliminated

Rafanan slapped the table after he saw the flop, claiming he folded king-eight, which would have made a full house. When McNulty hears this, he jokingly says, "Good fold."

It’s been a rough start to Day 2 for the Day 1 chipleader, as he has dropped from massive chipleader to a below-average stack in less than a level and a half.

Manuel Rafanan  –  65,000  (40 bb)
