Andrei Kriazhev Picks Off Aliaksei Boika

Jan 25, 2021

Play has slowed down considerably since the last break, and there have been few showdowns as they have started to reach the business end of the tournament.

Aliaksei Boika has been sat at the bottom of the counts and opens to 280,000 out of around 2 million. It folds to Andrei Kriazhev in the big blind and he raises enough to commit Boika to an all in. With a premium hand and only 15 big blinds behind, Boika tanks but can’t find a fold with Heart QDiamond Q. Kriazhev is flipping with Diamond ADiamond K and a king on the flop is enough to lock up the hand for the start-of-the-day chip leader.

That pot is enough to put Kriazhev back into second place, and Boika is the last player to bag $14,699. The next player to leave, will secure themselves $18,400.

Andrei Kriazhev – 17,954,767
Aliaksei Boika – Eliminated
