Andrew Heckman Knocks Out a Player -- With Both River Cards?

Jul 11, 2021

Andrew Heckman

Andrew Heckman raises to 1,500, and the player in the big blind defends.

The flop comes Spade KDiamond 4Diamond 2, the big blind checks, Heckman bets 1,500, and the big blind calls.

The turn card is the Spade 10, the big blind checks, and before Heckman can act, the dealer thinks he checked and puts out the Heart J on the river. But the Heart J is pulled back for the moment so Heckman can take his action.

Heckman bets 4,000, and the big blind check-raises all in for about 18,000. Heckman calls with Diamond KHeart 10 for top two pair, and the big blind shows Spade ASpade 2 for a pair of deuces with a spade flush draw.

At this point, the floorperson directs the dealer to reinsert the Heart J into the remaining deck, and reshuffle it. After the deck is cut, there is no burn card, because a card was already burned the first time. The top card is placed on the board for the river.

The river card is — the Diamond 10.

With either river card, Heckman wins the pot, but officially, he rivers a full house, tens full of kings, to eliminate his opponent.
