Another Three Down

Day 2 slowly but surely approaches the business end of the action as the field is now down to 44 hopefuls. The last trio to depart is certainly known in Casino Sochi as Serafim Kovalevsky, Mikhail Korotkikh and Vage Melikyan are familiar faces during the festivals in Russia’s prime destination for poker.

Melikyan bets the flop for 14,000 and then jams for 64,000 when facing a check-raise to 33,000 by Aleksandr Stepanyuk. The call follows and the cards are turned over.
