The dealer breaks down Gargano’s chip stack to reveal that it totals 9,500,000.

As Palmer held his hand in the air looking at it and contemplating a call, Palmer eventually drops in a few chips to signify a call.

Gargano was at-risk, but holding the slight advantage with his ace-high.

The dealer spreads the Club 9Club JHeart 10 flop to give Palmer the advantage with his pair and straight draw.

Gargano needs an ace, or running cards to a straight or a club flush.

The turn of the Club 6 gave Gargano his flush outs, but when the river lands the Heart Q, he would be eliminated in second-place for $277,760.

Ben Palmer wins the Season XVII WPT at Venetian for $431,655, along with the $15,000 entry into the season-ending Baccarat Crystal Tournament of Champions.
