Big Stacks Emerge on the Outer Tables

Mar 14, 2019

Start-of-the-day chip leader Pierre Calamusa is no longer in contention and Boris Kolev recalled that the Frenchman lost several bigger pots and ended up all in for just six big blinds with ten-nine suited versus jack-nine suited.

Kolev himself earned a big stack with a bluff catcher and top pair against a flush draw, while Yehoram Houri now occupies the seat that formerly belonged to Calamusa.

And on the very same table, a three-way all in gives Jerry Odeen a massive stack of more than half a million. A short stack jams first to act and Fionn Macnamara does so from the hijack. Odeen moves all in from the small blind and that forces out Yunsheng Sun in the big blind.

Short stack: Heart JSpade J
Macnamara: Heart 8Club 8
Odeen: Diamond KSpade K

There is no upset on a board of Heart 5Diamond 4Spade 2Diamond QClub 5 to result in a double knockout. One table over, Aleksandr Merzhvinskiy also sends an opponent to the rail to climb up on the leaderboard in the final level of the night.

Jerry Odeen – 400,000
Boris Kolev – 480,000
Aleksandr Merzhvinskiy – 450,000
Daragh Davey – 450,000
Yehoram Houri – 120,000
Fionn Macnamara – Eliminated
Pierre Calamusa – Eliminated
