With blinds set to go up to 1,000,000-2,000,000 and a 2,000,000 big blind ante on the next hand, Mathyeu Provost pushed forward his remaining 800,000 on the button before the dealer began to deal the cards.

Provost flips over his Heart 3Diamond 2, and as Smith is still stacking his chips following his double up on the previous hand, he rolls over his Heart KClub 3.

A dejected Provost sat hunched in his chair awaiting his fate, and when the dealer reveals the Club 6Club 7Club K flop, he sinks to a heavy disadvantage.

“Ah,” Smith says, “That’s a good flop.”

“GG as they say,” Provost adds.

Provost would need to find running deuces, or running cards to a straight or a chopped flush, but when the turn lands the Spade 7, both players immediately stand and embrace with a hug and then a handshake as the Heart 5 completes the board on the river eliminating Provost in second-place for a CA$93,475 payday.

Bradley Smith wins WPT500 Montreal for CA$140,000 which includes a CA$3,300 seat into the WPT Montreal Main Event.
