In a battle between two members of the WPT Champions Club who have won multiple titles, Eric Afriat (UTG+1) and Brian Altman (cutoff) see a flop of Heart 8Club 4Spade 3. Afriat checks, Altman bets 15,000, and Afriat calls.

The turn card is the Spade 5, and both players check.

The river card is the Heart 10, Afriat checks, and Altman thinks for a while before he moves all in for 69,500. Afriat asks for an exact amount, and then counts out a potential call from his own stack to see what he would have left, and it looks like he covers Altman by about 63,000.

Afriat eventually calls with Heart ASpade K for ace high, but Altman turns over Diamond KClub 10 to win the pot with a rivered pair of kings. Altman doubles up, and Afriat expresses his displeasure with how the hand turned out.

Brian Altman  –  200,000  (133 bb)
Eric Afriat  –  63,000  (42 bb)
