Bryan Colin Takes the Chip Lead

Apr 29, 2011

5182 Chipleader Bryan Colin
A player raises from early position to 3,500 and Bryan Colin calls.  Matthew Ehrlich is in late position and reraises to 9,200.  Both the initial raiser and Colin call and they all see a flop of [QsJs10d].  It checks around.

The turn is the [Jh] and it checks to Ehrlich, who bets 20,200.  The initial raiser folds, while Colin calls.  The river brings the [4c] and Colin checks.  Ehrlich quickly announces he is all-in.

Colin tanks for more than two minutes and gets a count of Ehrlich’s 135,000 chips.  Colin has him covered by around 40,000.  There are around 60,000 chips in the pot.

Colin thinks for another minute or so and decides to call.  Ehrlich shows [7d7s] fo jacks and sevens, but Colin has him bested with [KsKd] for kings and jacks.

"Nice call," Ehrlich tells Colin.  "Crazy call, but nice call."  With that, Ehrlch is eliminated and Colin takes the chip lead.

Bryan Colin – 385,000
Matthew Ehrlich – eliminated
