Byron Kaverman vs. Tom Wheaton

May 20, 2018

Tom Wheaton

Byron Kaverman opens his button to 300 before Tom Wheaton (pictured) – founder of Faded Spade, and partner of the World Poker Tour – three-bets the small blind to 850.

Kaverman calls, and on the flop of Diamond JClub 8Club K, Wheaton continues for 950. Kaverman calls, and then both players check down the Heart Q and Club 9 on the turn and river.

Wheaton tables his Heart AHeart 9 for a rivered pair, but it would Kaverman’s superior pair with his Diamond AClub Q, that would earn him this pot.

Byron Kaverman – 31,200
Tom Wheaton – 27,175
