Chance Kornuth Leads 305 Survivors Into Day 2

There were 488 players who entered Day 1 of the WPT L.A. Poker Classic, and after eight one-hour levels, Chance Kornuth (pictured) leads the 320 or so survivors with 153,600 in chips.

Official chip counts will be released in a couple hours, but here is a preliminary leaderboard of players with at least 100,000 in chips:

T-7.  Phil Laak  –  105,000  (131 bb)
T-7.  Vanessa Selbst  –  105,000  (131 bb)

Registration remains open until 1:45 pm PT tomorrow, and the field needs another 50 players or so to match last year’s field of 538.
