ClubWPT qualifier Jim McLaughlin is holding court at his table early in today’s Day 1B field. He’s enthralling everyone with his stories of defeating massive fields to win his way into some prestigious WPT events including Season XIII’s season ending World Championship event here at Borgata. He won his seat into today’s field by besting 2,600 players. According to Jim it took “an awful lot of luck”, though this being that he won a seat three times in a row, there must be more than luck involved.

The big blind calls once again. The hits the river, the big blind checks and McLaughlin turns over “a lowly pair of sixes”, his opponent mucks and McLaughlin scoops the pot.
