Conniff Looking To Add To World Championship Win

At every WPTDeepStacks stop, aside from the Main Event trophy, there is also a ‘Player of the Series’ trophy up for grabs. In total, results from over a dozen events from this Big Stax XV series will crown an eventual ‘POTS’ champion. Through the first two weeks, deep runs in the record breaking 300 and 500 events have been a quick way to shoot up the leaderboard and Asher Conniff did just that at the start of the series, notching a 3rd place finish in the opening 300 event.

That was Conniff’s second consecutive Big Stax final table run, as he finished 4th in December’s 500 event. This time, he’d earn over three times that score, taking home just shy of $78,000 as part of a three-way final table chop.

Those were sizable results for the Brooklyn, NY native but they both dwarfed in comparison to his best career finish from last April. Last spring was when Conniff announced himself to the poker world, turning an online satellite into a WTP World Championship victory, taking down one of poker’s toughest fields to earn a nearly $1,000,000 score.

So, past Parx success? Check. Past WPT success? Yes. Past WPTDeepStacks results? Not so much, as Conniff has never been able to record a WPTDS score. He’ll try to change that in a big way this weekend, as he looks to add another deep Parx run and WPTDS score to his 2016 resume after a breakout 2015 season.
