The reigning champion, Alexey Rybin, has entered the fray, and in a wonderful twist he has ended up at the same table as the man he beat to win that title, Albert Daher.
Not quite yet.
Daher is taking every opportunity to catch 40-winks, and this hand will do little to change that.
The player in the hijack raises to 1,000, and Daher flats on the button. The flop is [8c] [3c] [2s] and Daher calls a 2,000 c-bet. That ends the action as both players check extremely quickly, at the sight of the [3s] & [9d], and Daher’s opponent picks up the pot with pocket sevens.
Daher puts his head down and tries again.
Daher ~ 85,000
