Darren Elias Eliminated, Ready to Re-Enter

According to his tablemates, Darren Elias, who won the Borgata Poker Open last fall in addition to WPT Caribbean this season, raises to 400 from the cutoff, the button and small blind call, and Ryan Jones reraises to 2,300 out of the big blind.

Elias fires back, making it 5,800 to play, pushing the button and small blind out of the pot. Jones five-bets to 11,100 and Elias moves all in. Jones takes some time, teling the two-time champ, “I really want to call.”

Jones eventually does, tabling QQ. Elias has the best of it with KK, that is, until the flop comes Q96, giving Jones a set. The turn brings the  7 and the river the 9 to give Jones a winning full house and eliminate Elias.

He gathers his belongings then asks the dealer, “Can I get a re-entry card?”
