35 players from a field of 546 return for Day 4 of the WPT L.A. Poker Classic. Leading the incredible group of players remaining is David ODB Baker with 2.086 million. Right behind Baker is Day 2 chip leader Andrey Zaichenko with 1.715 million and WPT Champions Club member Tony Tran rounds out the top-three with 1.561 million.

All players are competing for a place in the Baccarat Crystal WPT Tournament of Champions but first, they have to reach the final table to be played on March 11 at HyperX Esports Arena. First place in the WPT L.A. Poker Classic is an even $1 million along with a Hublot Big Bang Steel watch.

A total of eight WPT Champions Club members reached Day 4 including Season V WPT Player of the Year J.C. Tran, Season IX WPT Player of the Year Andy Frankenberger, two-time winner Mohsin Charania, and the only four-time champion in WPT history, Darren Elias.

Rounding out the WPT Champions left in the field is fellow WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star winners Taylor Paur and James Carroll, along with Season XVI WPT Tournament of Champions runner-up Matas Cimbolas.

Speaking of the Hublot WPT Player of the Year, Tran is one of two players remaining in the field who can surpass Ping Liu for first place in the standings. Tran needs at least fifth place to get there. WPT Gardens Poker Festival sixth-place finisher Jared Griener starts Day 4 34th out of the 35th players remaining and has a long grind ahead of him to get to at least third place to tie Liu.

Legend of the felt and fan favorite John Smith returns to Day 4 fourth in chips with 1.194 million. Another legend of poker returns to Day 4 in Mike ‘The Mouth’ Matusow, who holds a comfortable stack of 570,000.

Day 4 starts at 12 p.m. and goes for four 120-minute levels before the remaining players bag up for Day 5. Stay tuned to WPT.com for continuing coverage of the World Poker Tour.
