David Oppenheim Runs into a Guy Who Can't Fold

Aug 21, 2010

The player in the cutoff raises to 625 and David Oppenheim calls on the button.  The flop falls [Th5s4d] and the cutoff bets 1,200.  Oppenheim calls and the two see the turn bring the [Qc].  The cutoff bets 2,500, Oppenheim raises to 8,000 total, and the other player quickly calls.

The river brings the [8d] and the player in the cutoff checks.  Oppenheim bets 12,000 and, after a couple of minutes of deliberation, his opponent calls and tables [KdKc].  "Kings are good," Oppenheim says as he mucks his hand and drops to 19,000.

"I’m just not good enough to fold," the other player explains.
