Davidi Kitai Getting Short

Feb 29, 2020

The action folds to Omar Lakhdari on the button and he picks the majority of his tall tower and puts it in the middle: 40,000 with 6,000 behind. Small blind Davidi Kitai shoves for 58,000 and the big blind gives up. Lakhdari calls.

Omar Lakhdari: Spade ASpade 10
Davidi Kitai: Heart AHeart 8

The window card is the Spade 8 but it’s followed by the Heart 10 and Spade Q to give Lakhdari both a pair and a flush draw. The Heart 2 on the turn gives Kitai a flush draw but the Diamond 7 on the river is the wrong red card for him.

Kitai is down to 12,000 and doubles the next hand with Club QSpade 8 versus Club JHeart 3 but is still short.

Omar Lakhdari – 100,000
Davidi Kitai – 30,000
