Day 1 Ends with John Flynt as Chipleader with 324,500

Day 1 of the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic comes to an end with 280 players remaining, and the chipleader is John Flynt, who bagged up 324,500.

The full list of official chip counts will be released by the tournament staff later tonight, but until then, here is an unofficial look at the top of the leaderboard:

1.  John Flynt  –  324,500  (216 bb)
2.  Johan Schumacher  –  310,000  (207 bb)
3.  Landon Tice  –  296,500  (198 bb)
4.  Justin Bonomo  –  266,500  (178 bb)

The field is up to 561 entries, though registration remains open until the end of the first break on Day 2 (tomorrow at 1:45 pm). The prizepool is already worth more than $5.4 million, and will continue to grow tomorrow.
