Notables who failed to make it through included Toby Lewis (who fired two bullets), Andrey Shatilov, Nicolas Chouity, Paul Tedeschi, Sam Trickett and last year’s winner Alexey Rybin.

The survivors will return to action on Sunday, and those that fell by the sword have the opportunity to re-enter tomorrow, for Day 1B, where they can fire another two bullets should they have the misfortunate to do so.

We will be back tomorrow at 13:00 (local time) to bring you all of the action from what promises to be a great Day 1B.
