Day 1A comes to an end with 98 players remaining from a field of 182, and the chipleader is Roger Lamia (pictured), who finished with 276,000 (345 big blinds).

The full list of official chip counts is posted on our Chip Counts Tab, and here is the top five:

1.  Roger Lamia  –  276,000  (345 bb)
2.  Spencer Mclean  –  222,200  (278 bb)
3.  William Blais  –  178,900  (224 bb)
4.  Shaan Siddiqui  –  161,100  (201 bb)
5.  Curt Kohlberg  –  160,400  (201 bb)

Even though this is Day 1A, this wasn’t the first flight, as an online starting flight was held on partypoker. There were 101 entries in that flight, and they played down to 14 players who will join the rest of the field at the start of Day 3.

There will be two more starting flights here at Playground, with Day 1B starting tomorrow at 12:00 noon, and Day 1C beginning Thursday, also at 12:00 noon. Registration remains open with unlimited re-entries until the start of Level 13, around 4:30 pm on Day 2 (Friday).

The prizepool is guaranteed to be worth at least CAD 3,000,000, and the payouts will be released after registration closes on Day 2.
