Casino de Marrakech Es Saadi
Busy Day expected at the Casino de Marrakech Es Saadi for Day 1B

The second and final starting day of the WPTDeepStacks Marrakech Season 2018-2019 13,200 MAD (~1,200 EUR) Main Event is poised to gather a big field at Casino de Marrakech. For the fifth consecutive year, the World Poker Tour has returned to the stunning Es Saadi Resort and poker enthusiasts from near and far take advantage of the sunny weather in North Africa while also taking a shot at poker glory.

Especially the French and Spanish players are just a short plane ride away from Marrakech and typically represent a big portion of the field. The second edition of the WPTDeepStacks Europe tour in Morocco is no different as evidenced by yesterday’s first flight. Day 1A attracted a field of 161 entries including 22 re-entries and 53 players punched their tickets for Day 2 already including such notables as Kalidou Sow and 2017 WPTDeepStacks Europe Player of the Year Tobias Peters.

All the hopefuls that failed to bag up chips last night are expected to re-join the action once more, along with those poker enthusiasts that made the money in the 20,000 MAD High Roller and battled for the trophy until the early morning hours. Among them are Jerome Sgorrano, Francois Tosques, Jean Montury, Fadhil Farag, Sebastien Compte, Parham Ahoor, Anas Tadini and Muhyedine Fares to name just a few.

Day 1B will get underway at 1 p.m. local time and 12 levels of 40 minutes each are scheduled for today. All participants receive 30,000 in chips and there will be a break every three levels including a 75-minute dinner break. The registration and unlimited re-entry period lasts throughout the first nine levels.
