At 2.30 p.m. local time, poker enthusiasts from near and far will head to the Holland Casino in Amsterdam to take a shot at the prestigious WPT title and the bragging rights that come along with it.

Day 1b of the second WPT Amsterdam Season 2017-2018 €3,300 Main Event will once again feature a total of eight levels of one hour each and the registration and single re-entry is available until the start of Day 2 at 2 p.m. local time on Wednesday, April 18th 2018.

Yesterday’s first starting day attracted a field of 83 entries, of which 40 hopefuls advanced and already secured a seat for Day 2. Those unhappy with their stack size at the end of Day 1a can take part in Day 1b again, as the bigger stack will be moved forward.

Day 1 Level Structure

Level Small Blind Big Blind Ante
1 50 100
2 75 150
3 75 150 25
4 100 200 25
5 150 300 50
6 200 400 50
7 250 500 75
8 300 600 75

Topping the field thus far is WPT Champions Club member and 2015 WPT Amsterdam winner Farid Yachou with 183,500, who secured the top spot after a dramatic three-way all in during the last three hands of the night.

Other big names such as Steve O’Dwyer, Noah Boeken, Thijs Menco, Chino Rheem, Farid Chati, Kees van Brugge, Raoul Refos, Robert Auer and Robert Heidorn were less fortunate and busted, but will very likely return for more action on Day 1b.

Just prior to the second starting day, the WPT Player Council will be hosted by WPT tournament director Matt Savage on the top floor of the Casino in the restaurant area to discuss topics such as the big blind ante, payouts, Player of the Year rankings and structures.
