Day 1C of the WPT World Championship attracted 973 entries, and at the end of the day, 337 players bagged chips for Day 2, which begins Saturday at 12:00 noon. Tomorrow’s Flight 1D is the final starting flight, and it starts at 11:00 am.

The Wynn has added an $1,100 Last-Chance Turbo Satellite, which will begin tomorrow morning at 10:00 am with 15-minute levels. The satellite will be held in the Encore Poker Room.

The total field after the first three starting flights is up to 2,312, and we expect Day 1D to be pretty huge.

The full list of chip counts will be released later tonight, but here is an unofficial preview of the top of the leaderboard, with the three players who bagged more than a million in chips:

1.  Kyle Ho  –  1,211,000  (202 bb)
2.  Chance Kornuth  –  1,130,000  (188 bb)
3.  Hossein Ensan  –  1,100,000  (183 bb)

Day 1D begins tomorrow at 11:00 am, with registration open until the end of the dinner break tomorrow. Players are allowed one entry per starting flight — each flight is a freezeout.

Stay tuned to WPT.com for our continuing coverage of the WPT World Championship, with a prizepool guaranteed to be worth at least $40 million.
