Defending Champion Dapo Ajayi Eliminated in 14th Place by Chance Kornuth

Kristen Foxen raises under the gun to 110,000, Chance Kornuth calls UTG+1, Joey Gargiulo calls from the hijack, and defending WPT Choctaw champion Dapo Ajayi moves all in from the button for 765,000.

Foxen folds, and Kornuth says, “I’ve got bad news for you, Dapo. I’m all in.” Then in a sing-song voice, Kornuth adds, “I’ve got a monster!”

Gargiulo says, “I’ve got a monster too,” and he takes his time to consider the situation, but folds before his 30 seconds runs out.

With the action complete, Ajayi turns over , but he’s dominated by Kornuth’s .

Gargiulo looks at Kornuth and says “That’s not a monster.”

Bin Weng says, “Against pocket sevens, that’s a monster.”
