During our last update, we featured three players that have won Parx titles over the last few series but none of those players have claimed victory in Big Stax Championship events. Two players that have joined the action over the last half hour have though, including one of the most successful players in Parx history.

One of Mike Dentale’s best career tournament results came in May of 2013, when he was part of a heads up chop of the Big Stax II 1500. That chop earned the New Yorker a $101,000 score and since then, he’s added a handful of other results to put himself near the top-five on the Parx all-time money list.

A player that is likely trending near that top-five is Ryan Pochdely, who over the last year and a half has notched three Big Stax Championship final table runs. The first came in October of 2014, when Pochedly finished 5th in the 1100 for a $22,000 score. He then started 2015 with a 6th place run in the 2500 Championship and then won his first Big Stax title in May.

Pochedly bested Parx legend Joe ‘Worm’ Palma for that title, taking home just over six-figures for his Big Stax XI 1500 Championship win. He’ll now try to open 2016 with the same success in big buy-in Parx events, starting with a solid Day 1A session today.
