Dynamic Boils Over, Johnston Cripples Pochedly

Feb 28, 2016

David Johnston
David Johnston and Ryan Pochedly have been playing some decently sized pots over the last hour and a half and those encounters have seemed to create an interesting dynamic at Table 51. That dynamic just boiled over though, as the two got all-in pre flop with each holding massive hands.

Action was picked up with Johnston opening to 20,000 from under the gun and after some folds, Pochedly three-bet to 50,000 from middle position. The rest of the table folded back around to Johnston, who thought for a few moments while inspecting his just under 200,000 chip stack.

After some thought, he announced himself “all-in” and Pochedly snap called, turning over Club ADiamond K. Johnston had the slightly bigger stack in a bad spot, as the New Jersey native flipped up Diamond ASpade A and was one clean runout from a double.

He got just that, as the Club JDiamond JClub 7Spade KDiamond 4 board confirmed the double, moving himself over the chip average and leaving Pochedly treading water with just under ten big blinds.

David Johnston – 440,000
Ryan Pochedly – 95,000
