Ed Blount Folds Queens Preflop to Iaron Lightbourne

Sep 18, 2014

Ed Blount limps under the gun for 20,000, Iaron Lightbourne moves all in from the button for 241,000 (12 big blinds), and Blount goes into the tank for several minutes.

Eventually, Blount asks Lightbourne the classic line, "If I fold, will you show?" Lightbourne says, "Probably not." Blount, sitting on the opposite end of the table, has trouble hearing him, and asks him to repeat it. A little louder, Lightbourne says, "Probably not."

Blount says he can’t hear Lightbourne, and Blake Bohn, who is standing behind his seat next to Blount, loudly says, "Probably not! He’s probably not going to show you his cards!"

Blount asks Bohn what his problem is, and Bohn tells him he’s bored. Bohn asks why he’s bored, and Bohn says it’s because Blount is taking so long to think.

A few more words are exchanged before Blount folds [QhQs] face up, seemingly in frustration. Several players are visibly shocked that he would fold such a strong hand in that spot. Lightbourne himself seems to do a double-take when he sees the pocket queens.

Lightbourne takes the pot, and after the hand, claims that he had ace-king.
