Eliot Hudon Wins At Showdown

Photo:  Defending WPT World Champion Eliot Hudon outlasted a field of 2,960 last year to win $4,136,000.

There’s a completed board of and 11,000 in the pot. Five players hold cards, and both blinds check to defending WPT World Champion Eliot Hudon. Hudon bets 5,500, the cutoff folds, and the player on the button calls. The small blind calls, and the big blind folds to bring a three-way showdown.

Hudon shows for a set of jacks. The player on the button and small blind table their cards, each with an ace. They jokingly put the two aces together, but neither beats Hudon’s set, and he takes down the pot.
