Eric Siegel Knocks Out a Player

Jan 28, 2019

Eric Siegel raises from the hijack to 2,200, the player on the button calls, and the player in the small blind moves all in for 2,600. Jeff Banghart calls from the big blind, as does Siegel and the player on the button.

There is 11,200 in the main pot, and any further betting will create a side pot.

The flop comes Spade AClub 9Club 2, Banghart checks, and Siegel bets 6,400. The player on the button folds, and Banghart calls, creating a side pot worth 12,800.

The turn card is the Club K, Banghart bets 12,000, and Siegel tanks for a while before he calls. The side pot is now worth 36,800.

The river card is the Heart 4, and both Banghart and Siegel check. As an all-in situation, all three players must turn over their cards:

Eric Siegel:  Heart ASpade K  (two pair, aces and kings)
Jeff Banghart:  Diamond 9Diamond 2  (two pair, nines and deuces)
Small Blind:  Club 7Spade 5  (seven high)

Siegel scoops the entire pot with his higher two pair to eliminate the player in the small blind.

Eric Siegel  –  157,000  (196 bb)
