Farid Jattin Shows a Six to Paul Nguyen to Take the Chip Lead

Feb 29, 2016

Paul Nguyen
Paul Nguyen (pictured) raises to 11,000 from the hijack and Farid Jattin three-bets to 33,500 on the button. Nguyen calls and they are heads-up to a flop of Club KDiamond 4Heart 3.

Nguyen checks and Jattin bets 24,500. Nguyen takes a few moments and then pushes forward a large stack of 5,000 denomination chips. Jattin asks for a count and the dealer breaks down the stack to confirm the raise of 135,000. Jattin takes a minute in the tank before moving all in for effectively the 180,000 that Nguyen has behind.

Nguyen immediately stands up from his chair, puts his hands over his head and mutters some curse words under his breath. He sits back down and as the surrounding tables finish their hands, they stand up to see the action in this hand.

Nguyen tries to talk to Jattin, but Jattin never responds. As he is playing with his cards, his accidentally flips one up and it flashes momentarily before landing face-down. Nothing is said by any players, but the card appears to be a paint card. After several minutes in the tank, the clock is called.

Just before his minute runs out, he folds his hand and Jattin collects the pot. He shows the Spade 6 as he collects his chips and moves into the chip lead.
