Glantz Ousts Heimiller in Huge Aces Versus Kings Hand

Oct 2, 2017

Arriving amid the preflop action, it appears after Dan Heimiller has raised, Matt Glantz three bets from the blinds. Heimiller reraises back, then Glantz pushes out another reraise.

That’s when Heimiller reraises all in for about 675,000 total, and Glantz — who started the hand with just about the same amount — calls right way.

Glantz: Diamond AHeart A

“Damn,” says Heimiller as he sees Glantz’s hand.

The board runs out Diamond 7Club JClub 5Spade 4Diamond 2, and the aces hold to win Glantz the enormous pot.

A count of Glantz’s chips adds up to 682,000 exactly.

It takes a little while to figure out that Heimiller is outchipped by just about a big blind. “Use those,” says Heimiller playfully during the counting, pointing to the antes in the center. Alas for him the huge hand will be his last of the tournament.

That bumps Glantz way up around 1.35 million and into the apparent chip lead at the moment.
