Hand #122: Danny Qutami Eliminated in 2nd Place ($223,663); Larry Greenberg Wins!

May 5, 2018

Danny Qutami

On the first hand of heads-up play, Danny Qutami (pictured) moves all in for 83,000.

Larry Greenberg calls from the big blind, and the cards are tabled.

Qutami: Heart KClub 7
Greenberg: Spade AClub Q

Qutami is at risk and trailing in the hand, and when the dealer spreads the Heart QClub 8Spade 9 flop, he needs to spike a king, or running cards to make a straight.

The turn of the Spade 3 now left Qutami drawing to just a king, and when the river lands the Heart J, he would be eliminated in 2nd place for a $223,663 payday.

For Greenberg, he would be crowned the WPT Bellagio Elite Poker Championship winner while simultaneously joining the WPT Champions Club as he captures the $378,879 first prize and a $15,000 seat into the season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions.
