Veerab Zakarian moves all in, and James Anderson calls all in for 2.0 million with Heart JDiamond 4. Zakarian turns over Club 10Diamond 5. Anderson needs his hand to hold to stay alive.

The board comes Club 8Heart 6Club 4Spade 7Spade 3, and Zakarian wins the pot — and the WPT title — with an eight-high straight.

James Anderson finishes as the runner-up, earning $449,904.

Veerab Zakarian wins the WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open, earning $674,840. Zakarian also receives a WPT Champions Trophy, a Hublot Big Bang Steel Watch, a set of Baccarat Crystal, and his name will be engraved on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup alongside the WPT Champions from all 18 seasons of the World Poker Tour.
