Markus Gonsalves limps for 200,000, and Tuan Phan checks his option.

The flop comes Heart 9Heart 5Heart 3, Phan checks, Gonsalves bets 200,000, and Phan calls.

The turn card is the Spade Q, Phan checks, Gonsalves bets 600,000, and Phan check-raises all in for 3,075,000.

Gonsalves calls with Heart 10Heart 4 for a flopped ten-high flush, and Phan turns over Diamond 5Diamond 3 for two pair, fives and threes. Phan needs to catch a five or a three to stay alive.

The river card is the Spade J, and Gonsalves wins the pot — and the WPT title — with a ten-high heart flush.

Tuan Phan finishes as the runner-up, earning $359,650.

Markus Gonsalves wins the WPT Gardens Poker Championship, earning $554,495. Gonsalves also receives a WPT Champions Trophy, a Championship Belt from Gardens Casino, a Hublot Big Bang Steel Watch, and a set of Baccarat Crystal. Gonsalves will also have his name engraved on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup alongside every WPT Champion from all 18 seasons of the World Poker Tour.
