Champion Ryan Riess Champion Ryan Riess

Ryan Riess (pictured) raises to 450,000, Alan Sternberg reraises to 1,150,000, and Riess thinks for a bit before he moves all in.

Sternberg thinks for less than 10 seconds before he calls all in for 6,800,000 with Spade 7Diamond 7. Riess turns over Heart AHeart K, and the two players are close enough in chips that this could effectively be the whole ballgame.

The board comes Club KSpade 6Diamond 6Diamond KClub 10, and Riess wins the pot — and the WPT title — with a full house, kings full of sixes.

Alan Sternberg finishes as the runner-up, earning $491,081.

Ryan Riess wins the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Finale, earning $716,088, which includes his $15,000 entry into the season-ending Monster WPT Tournament of Champions. Riess also receives a WPT Champions Trophy, and his name will be inscribed on the one-and-only WPT Champions Cup, alongside every WPT champion from all 15 seasons.
