Hand #77: Braden Hall Eliminated in 8th Place ($63,960)

Hand #77 – James Dempsey raises to 80,000 on the button and Braden Hall takes some time to think in the small blind. Dempsey makes a joke about Hall pulling his shirt up over his face as Hall thinks.

After less than a minute of deliberation, Hall does indeed put his shirt over his face and move all-in for 450,000 total. Dempsey decides to have a little fun and pull his shirt over his mouth too while Vitor Coelho thinks in the big blind.

Coelho folds and action is back on Dempsey. He thinks for a bit, gets an exact count, and eventually calls with [Jc9c]. He is up against Hall’s [Ks10d].

The [QdQh8h] flop keeps Hall out front, but it also gives Dempsey a gutshot straight draw. The [2s] on the turn is a blank for Dempsey, but the river brings the [10c], completing his straight and eliminating Hall in eighth place.

After the hand, Dempsey is now neck and neck with Nguyen for the chip lead. Each are sitting on around 3.55 million.
