Without looking at his cards, Anees Puri moves all in under the gun for 225,000. James Mackey calls from the small blind, and James Hundt calls from the big blind. Any additional betting will create a side pot.

Both players check to the river on a board of Heart ASpade JHeart 5Diamond KClub A, and Puri says, “That’s a good sign for me.”

Puri reminds everyone that he hasn’t looked at his cards yet, and he asks for a sweat.

Hundt says he has eight high, and shows Heart 8Heart 2.

Mackey turns over Spade QHeart 7 for queen high.

Puri slowly turns over one card, and it’s the Diamond 10. Not good enough. For his next card, he needs an ace, a king, a queen, a jack, a ten, or a five to stay alive.

Puri’s second card is — the Heart 3.

Mackey wins the pot to eliminate Puri in seventh place, bursting the televised WPT Final Table bubble.
