Hand #9: Quy Dao and Adam Sutch Chop It Up

Mar 8, 2020

In Hand #9 of hand-for-hand play on the Money bubble, Adam Sutch raises under the gun to 14,000, Robert Heidorn calls from the button, and Quy Dao calls from the big blind.

The flop comes Heart JSpade 10Spade 7, and Dao bets 15,000. Sutch raises to 60,000, Heidorn folds, and Dao calls.

The turn card is the Heart 5, Dao checks, Sutch bets 140,000, and Dao moves all in. Sutch quickly calls with Club 9Club 8 for a flopped jack-high straight, but Dao turns over Spade 9Spade 8 for the same hand — with an open-ended straight-flush draw. It’ll be a chopped pot unless Dao can catch a spade on the river.

The river card is the Heart 3, and it’s a chopped pot.
