High Roller Update; Main Event in Level Four

Sep 27, 2018

There are 32 players out of 157 entries remaining in the 20,000 MAD (approx. 1,800 EUR) High Roller and Jean Montury appears to be among the chip leaders with more than two times the average. Only the top 20 spots get paid a portion of the 2,731,800 MAD prize pool and the min cash is worth 35,000 MAD, while the winner takes home 650,000 MAD for his efforts.

On Day 1A of the Main Event, level four with blinds of 100-200 and a big blind ante of 200 is underway. Several of the bigger names are below the starting stack such as Said El Yousfi (23,000), Tobias Peters (22,000) and Guillaume Darcourt (21,000), while Frederic Delval has already been eliminated.

Kalidou Sow (46,000) is still doing just fine and he is joined by Francois Tosques, who entered some time ago and currently has 33,000.

Darcourt is involved in a hand where he opens the action with a raise to 700 from early position and was called by the player from one seat over. On the Diamond 10Heart 7Spade 4 flop, Darcourt continues for 1,100 and his opponent calls. After the Heart 3 turn, Darcourt checks and calls a bet of 2,200 before both players opt to check the Diamond 3 on the river.

Darcourt shakes his head and mentions he missed a draw, flashing the Diamond 9Heart 7 and his opponent turns over the winning Diamond 7Diamond 6 for sevens and treys.
