Hitchcock at Work on a Poker Mystery

Sep 30, 2017

She’s written best-selling murder mysteries, was a friend of Jackie Kennedy Onassis, and plays poker. Georgetown socialite Jane Hitchcock is part of today’s Day 1a field.

According to a Washington Post profile from this spring, the novelist began playing poker about eight years ago, and now finds herself enjoying the game whenever she can as she gathers experience — as well as material for a new poker-themed mystery titled Bluff.

Hitchcock has collected a number of tournament cashes over the last few years, including several in the Maryland area (including right here at Maryland Live!). We’ll keep a watch to see how this latest Hitchcockian story develops.
