DINO MARSANI

Current chip leader, Dino Marsani has a pile of chips in front. The most recent of those, came via a double elimination in the last level that played out as follows…

After a raise from Mark Roovers under the gun, an early-position player, Gilbert Diaz on the hijack, Dino Marsani on the cutoff and big blind Andrew Martin called, making it five-handed to the flop.

Roovers continued 5,000 on the Club 6Diamond 10Heart 4, with 11,000 behind, and the player on his left called.
Diaz then raised to 12,000, which resulted in calls from both Marsani and Martin. Back on Roovers and he moved all-in for a total of 16,000. After the other four players had made up the difference, they went on to the turn.

It was the Club 8 and it checked to Diaz, who bet 13,500. Marsani responded by moving all in for 75,000. Martin made the call, and the other two quickly got out of the way.

Roovers showed pocket Diamond JClub J, Marsani showed Heart 7Heart 6 for the straight and Martin revealed Club 10Spade 6 for two pair. Marsani was ahead but it was a sweat and he started to call out for a “brick.”

The poker Gods obliged with a Spade K completing the board and Marsani has an enormous stack now.

Dino Marsani – 256000
Mark Roovers – eliminated
Andrew Martin – eliminated
